1. SURVEY AND CONSULTATION

   I will visit your site for us to discuss your project in detail. During this meeting we will also discuss in more detail your wishes and ideas for the design, your personal style and how you wish to spend time in the garden. The output of this is a client brief document, detailing everything we’ve discussed.

   After this either myself or for larger gardens a surveyor completes a full measurement survey so we understand your space, aspect and conditions.

2. CONCEPT DESIGN

   I will develop a design for your garden, with 2D and 3D representations and a moodboard to support showing you my vision for the space. The details such as plants and materials are representative at this stage rather than exact. This stage is all about getting the ideas and layout agreed.

3. FULL DESIGN

   Once we’ve agreed the concept then I work this into a detailed design, choosing all the materials and details that make a professional garden design standard out. This includes paving, lighting and plant pallet.

4. TECHNICAL DETAILING

   From this design I produce technical construction drawings for every element of the design. Including elevations, structures, spacing and setting out plans which can be used by the landsacpers.

5. PLANTING PLAN

   A planting plan is produced specifying where every plant will go to create your perfect green oasis. From this a list of plants needed is produced which I can use for sourcing your plants from our reputable list of plant nurseries. This plan will be used when it comes to planting up the garden, which I will support the landscapers in doing.

6. TENDER DOCUMENTS

   A pack of information and drawings is pulled together to be sent out to a number of landscapers for them to quote from. You can either let me find a landscaper from ones I’ve worked with before or use your own.

7. SITE INSPECTIONS

   During the build of your garden I will be available to attend the site as needed to check on progress and answer any questions the landscapers have to ensure a quality finish. We can mutually agree how many visits are needed depending on the complexity of the design.

8. MAINTENANCE PLAN

As a final touch I can provide a plan maintenance plan detailing how to look after all the new plants in your garden. This can be for yourself if you’re keen to get hands on, or can be shared with a gardener who will visit and maintain your garden for you.
